This website is an informational service with a contact form. You cannot create an account here, and there is no newsletter. We count how often our pages are opened ourselves, without a cookie, without storing an IP address and without another company's analytics service. We set no advertising cookies, because we run no advertising.

We host this website with netcup GmbH, Karlsruhe (Germany). The server is located in Germany. When you access the website, the hosting provider automatically records information in so-called server log files that your browser transmits. This usually includes: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, and the browser and operating system used.

This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and to ensure stable and secure operation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The log files are stored only for as long as technically necessary and are not merged with other data sources.

We count how often our pages are opened, and we do it ourselves. No other company is involved, and no data leaves our server in Germany.

Stored per view: which page was opened, in which language, when, and if you arrived through a link the name of the referring website. We do not store that website's full address, so we do not store the search term you found us with either. For posts we also store how long the page was active in the visible window and how far it was scrolled.

What we do not store: not your IP address, no cookie is set, and nothing is written to your device or read from what is stored there. That is also why we do not ask for consent here: section 25 TDDDG covers storing and reading information on your device, and neither happens.

To avoid counting two views on one day as two visitors, we still need something to tell them apart. For that our server draws a random number once a day, keeps it in memory only, stores it nowhere and replaces it the next day. From that random number, your IP address and your browser identifier we compute a check value and store only that. It cannot be reversed, and because the random number changes daily and then no longer exists, two days cannot be connected either.

The purpose is to see which of our texts get read. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in reach measurement that works without personal data.

This has a consequence we would rather state plainly: we cannot link these figures to a person. So we can neither give you information about them nor rectify or erase them individually for you, and under Art. 11 (2) GDPR we deliberately do not collect additional data just to make that possible. For everything we actually do store about you, the section “Your rights” applies in full.

We store your choice between the light and dark theme only locally in your browser (localStorage). This information does not leave your device and is not transmitted to us.

When you use the contact form, we process what you enter there: your name, your email address and your message. Added to that are the language of the page and the time your message arrived. There are no further fields.

Your enquiry is stored in a database on our server in Germany and is also delivered to us by email. That mail runs over our own mail server, not over an external delivery provider.

The sole purpose is handling your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where a contract is being prepared, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering you under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

To stop automated bulk submissions, we limit how many messages one connection may send. Your IP address is counted in memory for at most ten minutes for that purpose and is not stored alongside your message.

Your enquiry stays stored for as long as we need it to handle your request and any follow-up questions. It is deleted by hand once it is done. There is no automatic deletion after a fixed period. You may object to the storage at any time and request deletion. We then delete your enquiry unless statutory retention periods require otherwise.

Under every post there is the question whether it helped. Pressing yes or no stores exactly that: which post, which language, which of the two answers and when. Neither your IP address nor an identifier of your device is added, and this is not connected to the counting of page views.

After that you may write something, and leave an email address, both entirely optional. If you would like an answer we need the address, otherwise we cannot write to you; without one we still read what you wrote.

Unlike the plain counting, what you write is personal data as soon as it says something about you. It is stored on our server in Germany and also delivered to us as an email, over our own mail server rather than an external sending service. None of it becomes public: there is no comment section, and the number of presses appears nowhere on the website.

The purpose is to improve our texts and to answer your question. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in feedback on our own content, and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where it concerns the initiation of a contract.

Your feedback is kept as long as we need it for handling and possible follow-up questions. It is deleted by hand once it is dealt with. There is no automatic deletion after a fixed period. You may request access, rectification or erasure at any time, informally at info@kimaschine.de.

On the page „Was eine Maschine bei euch übernehmen könnte“ you describe in your own words how the work runs at your company, and you receive a machine-made assessment of it. For that we process what you enter about your trade, your size and what you sell, both descriptions, our questions and your answers to them, your email address, the language of the page and the time it arrived. We store no IP address with it.

To produce the assessment we transmit your descriptions to Anthropic PBC, 548 Market Street, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA, the provider of the language model we use. This involves a transfer to the USA. Anthropic processes the content on our behalf, and under the terms of the interface we use it is not used to train the models.

Please do not type real customer or patient data into the text fields. A description of how the work runs is entirely enough for the assessment, and anything beyond that protects neither you nor us.

The purpose is the assessment you request by submitting the form. The legal basis for it is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. If you would like us to get in touch beyond that, tick the separate box in the form. The legal basis is then your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future.

We delete what you entered and the assessment automatically twelve months after it arrived. You may object to the storage at any time and ask for earlier deletion.

The finished assessment is reachable over a randomly generated link. Whoever holds that link can view it. We link it nowhere and exclude it from search engines.

To stop automated bulk requests we limit the number of attempts per connection and per address. Your IP address is counted for that in memory for at most ten minutes and is not stored with what you entered.

If you write to us by email, we process your details solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. We store this data only for as long as necessary to answer your enquiry.

You have the right at any time to information about the data stored about you, as well as the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, a right to object, and a right to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

What we can hold about you is a short list: your contact form enquiry and your emails to us. An informal message to info@kimaschine.de is enough, and you get a copy, a correction or the deletion.
